Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how MITS Edge collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you visit our website, submit an enquiry, enrol in a course, or otherwise interact with us.
1. Who we are
MITS Edge (“MITS Edge”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is the training and education arm of MITS Group, delivering live online technology training to learners across the United States, Canada, and beyond. This policy applies to this website and the services offered through it.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you submit an enquiry, create an account, subscribe to updates, or enrol in a course, we may collect:
- Your name, email address and phone number
- The course or topic you are interested in, and the content of messages you send us
- Account credentials and profile details (if you register)
- Academic and enrolment details relevant to your course and certificate
- Billing details required to process a payment
Information collected automatically. When you browse the site we may collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, and similar usage data through cookies and comparable technologies. See our Cookie Policy.
Payment information. Card, UPI, netbanking and wallet details are entered directly with our payment gateway. We do not collect or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN or bank credentials on our servers.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiries and provide the information or counselling you request
- To register you for a course, process payments, issue invoices and generate certificates
- To deliver the course, communicate schedules, and provide learner and placement support
- To send you service messages such as payment receipts, enrolment confirmations and account notices
- To send you marketing communications about new batches, offers, workshops and learner stories, where permitted
- To improve our website, courses and services, and to understand how our site is used
- To detect, prevent and address fraud, abuse, security incidents and technical issues
- To comply with applicable law and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims
4. Marketing emails and your choices
If you share your email address with us — for example by submitting an enquiry — we may send you marketing emails about our programmes, batches, offers and events. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. If you unsubscribe, we will stop sending you marketing emails and will not re-add you to marketing sequences.
Please note that even after you unsubscribe from marketing, we may still send you essential service communications relating to your account, enrolment, payments or certificates.
5. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described below:
- Service providers who act on our behalf — for example our payment gateway, email delivery provider, cloud hosting and analytics providers — under obligations of confidentiality and only to the extent needed to perform their services
- Our group companies, where necessary to deliver the services you have requested
- Hiring or placement partners, where you have asked us to support your placement and have consented to your profile being shared
- Authorities, regulators or other parties where we are required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of MITS Edge, our learners or others
- A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition or reorganisation, subject to this policy
6. Data retention
We keep your personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy — for example, for the duration of your enrolment and thereafter as required to issue and validate certificates, maintain financial and tax records, and comply with legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls and hashed passwords — to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Ask us to delete your personal information, where we are not required to retain it
- Withdraw consent, including by unsubscribing from marketing emails
- Object to or ask us to restrict certain processing of your information
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.
9. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences and measure usage. You can control cookies through our consent banner and your browser settings. For details, see our Cookie Policy.
10. Children
Our services are intended for individuals aged 18 and over, or for minors enrolled with the consent and involvement of a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without such consent. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
11. Third-party links
Our website may link to third-party websites and services that we do not control. This policy does not apply to those sites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. If the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice.
